Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Copper bottle Changes Color?
Real copper gets naturally “tarnished” (discolored and lose their bright shiny look), especially with exposure to moisture. Tarnish is not rust, and it is completely removable. This is completely normal and natural.
Why does my copper bottle cap sometimes get tighter?
Since copper is not as elastic as steel, it occasionally happens that the caps become difficult to tighten. In this situation, applying a little oil to the rings of the cap's seal and the bottle's rim and putting it away for certain amount of time resolves the problem. The oil's grease will restore the cap's functionality to normal.
Why my product having dents and scratches?
Compared to steel and other metals, copper is a soft and malleable metal. Even a firm hand squeeze can cause the item to dent. These products are subject to certain scratches because they are handmade. To fix this, simply push the dent out with your hand or tap the area with a rubber mallet.
How much water should I drink in a day from Copper Bottle?
There is no such limit and you can consume water whenever you want. However, for maximum benefits, it is recommended to keep water in a copper jar or vessel over night and to consume at least one glass in the morning. It is best to store water for at least one night or up to 48 hours before consuming it.
What should I store in my water bottle?
All of our Copper Bottles and Copper Pitchers are for use with plain, cold or room temperature water ONLY.
Please DO NOT fill your bottles with sparkling or carbonated water.
What does water stored in a copper vessel taste like?
The water should taste refreshing and smooth. It could initially taste a little metallic, but it shouldn't be unpleasant. If the taste of metal is overpowering, empty the water bottle and replace it with fresh water. If water continues to taste bad, please clean the inside of your bottle.
Should I clean my copper vessel before using it for the first time?
Yes we do recommend cleaning the copper vessel with clean water before using it for the first time.
Can I put hot water in my vessels?
No. Please refrain from filling the copper vessels with hot water. Not only can it hurt and burn you, but it will also speed up and increase the amount of copper that leeches into the water.
However, we suggest that it is better to store lukewarm water rather than boiling water.
Can I put my vessels in the freezer?
We suggest avoiding it. It will split after a while in the freezer. It should NOT be placed in the freezer. It can be refrigerated but not for longer time periods, like overnight.
